Façade

You go to great lengths to hide all of your pain,

You even built up this image of yourself that everyone believes to be real.

The Mask you wear may fool some but it doesn't stop the strain,

The way you carry yourself is all a front; a cry for help to see who cares but it's more of an appeal.

All you do is feel this emptiness inside, but you try to ignore it by surrounding yourself with others,

That's when you realize that the world is a cold place & no one truly cares no matter how close you've grown together.

The tears are warm, the nights are long, the days are lonely, the pain is strong, the insecurities grow, the joy is depleted, the Will is weak, the heart is cold & the soul is torn;

You've become broken, your thoughts are corrupted, your dreams become sad & your reality feels like a nightmare sometimes wishing you were never born.

No one may be able to see what you are really hiding,

But I see past your imitation.

I can sense your pain from the very beginning,

So I can't help but look at you with contemplation.

With all of this in mind; just remember I'm right here for you,

I have a hand to hold, a shoulder to cry on, & I'll accept you with open arms.

I may not know you but I'll be here for you through it all because I am tried-and-true,

Even if you don't need a helping hand or a friend for long I promise with in that time I won't cause you any harm.

I can only do so much but for you I will do all it takes,

You may not know this but you are not alone as long I am here; as it is proven by the hands of Fate.

Just remember I do care about you & will never leave you like others have; so I hope my effort is something you'll someday applaud,

But I say this with all love & respect, no matter how much you to try to hide & deny your pain to the world; I see the truth so when it comes to me there is no need for your façade.
