sticky and spiteful

bat them like a magpie's precious gemstones

they'll catch the light of your irises

shine it into the night with the symbol of your surrender illuminated among the betrayal of the stars

isn't it hard to dream?

like the wings of my heartbeat will ever soothe your temptations

i stay blinded

my mind can only stay still for so long,

nothing left to devour unless it is special and rare

rarer than what i deem curious, yet there is little that can suit such remarks

but look at the trap you carefully laid

the tripwires you layered with zebra paint

and the snapdragon colours you massaged into your skin, tainting them fucsia and patterning them with Orion's heavy seal

another reminder of your beauty's irresistibility

undeniable thirst,

excruciating joy of the moment you catch me in their deepened tapestries

something is different and i'll let you plead with me to die furiously

but didn't i choose to be compelled into the forbidden waters

the Styx, such pools of hatred cannot get to me

i welcome the abyss as the rainbow skies crumble in honour,

in memory

simply for the great world of my love.
