“Eye Game”

I sit on the train across from you,

Just a quick glimpse, and I then look away.

you look back, and I look back too.

You look away, so I look away.

I look again. You look. I turn away.

You look, I see that you looked,

So I look and you turn away.

We look. We turn away.

I look, we lock eyes for a good second.

I look away. I stare at my feet. You stare above my head.

You stare at your feet; I stare above your head.

Your stop finally comes. I look away.

You look, you grin, and you walk away.

I look and I grin. We never see each other again.

This is the eye game.
