A Visit To Earth Finds Family O' Music

Out of all the places to land, they chose my backyard.
They could've chose a scientist, a nerd or a scifi geek.
Instead they chose this old cowboy to be somebody to meet.
They spoke gibberish and waved at me so I waved back and hollered out "howdy" with genuine southern hospitality.
They smiled at me and I smiled back. They adjusted their ear pieces to understand that and before you could shake a stick they were speaking english lickety split.
They gave their best "howdy" as they done figured out, it's how the good ol' boys greet strangers with a hoot and a holler and a joyous shout.
They looked tired and thirsty from their long trip, so, I invited 'em up to the house. We sat on the porch with some fresh sun tea, served in mason jars with ice. Their faces filled with glee.
Mama came out on to the porch where we were sit'n, commented about making new friends without even mention'n. They look nuttin like us but she always sees the best no matter what there wear'n.
She offered up some vittles and we all dug in, we kicked off our boots and talked about where they'd been. We looked at the stars, they pointed out where they're from and I said "how about that" and one began to hum.
I started smack'n my knee to the beat of that hum, then the other aliens joined in and a sing'n we begun.
Old Pa came out to the sound of the song and he pulled out his banjo and began to strum.
My brother in law showed up with my baby sister, he played the harmonica and she could really whistle.
Without introductions we all played together. Just like we were all family, some lost and now found. It was the hoot'n and the hollerest music from all around.
