''In the Open, Bare and Clear''

Beneath the veil of everyday guise,

Lies a truth we seldom recognize,

In the quiet, shadows fade,

Our true selves are gently laid.

Stripped of pretense, the layers fall,

Revealing the heart's most tender call,

In the open, bare and clear,

The soul stands exposed, sincere.

What we hide in the dark of night,

Comes to light in the purest sight,

In vulnerability, strength is found,

Is to embrace what’s meant to be,

For in the honesty of being shown,

We find our truest selves, alone.

What a poignant, profound poem. Your rhyme scheme is amazing, which is sometimes hard to do. Well done.
