I have found this to be true

Life can be so rich

When you seek to taste

what you have never tasted

When you seek to listen

outside genres which you have listened

When you seek to meet

people who don’t look, act or think like you

You might taste flavours that make you wretch

You might hear music that makes your ears bleed

You might meet people who make your skin crawl

But all of these failed experiments

are repaid a hundredfold

when you strike platinum

And discover new love

All these failures are made up for each time

you taste something that sets off exploding colours in your mouth

Or which can take you back to your childhood

Or when new music makes you understand feelings you couldn’t previously put words to

Or when you meet someone who takes your breath away and makes you fall heels over head for them

This is the true joie de vivre

So experiment away
