Existentialism//:
I think
Therefore,
I am,
And so I must matter—
If even just to oneself.
Existence precedes essence,
It watches the conscious self
Wander idly into traffic,
Whist it sips its drink
And ponders mortality.
The Absurd, my authentic
—a certainty that all is madness.
An insanity that will continue
Until the (presumed) finality of death
Transports us to what is next;
Wearing the face of a door
When before us stands the reality
Of absolutely nothing more.

Fathomless is the mind full of stories.

Haunting last line. Great take on the challenge!
The chef asked Descartes if he wanted soup with him meal. Rene answered, "I think not," & just like that he vanished. Just thought you might like a little ala-Descartes humor to go with your entree.
