A Heart That Still Remembers

By KalixPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

I don’t know why I still love you,

Even though we’re miles apart,

In every corner of my heart,

Your memory lingers like the dew.

I wonder, do you think of me?

Even once, when the night is still,

When the silence echoes my will,

Does my name cross your thoughts fleetingly?

I see the world, but you’re in my mind,

The smile we shared, the love we knew,

Now faded, like the morning dew,

I try to let go, but you’re hard to find.

Did you ever feel the same way too?

Or was I just a chapter, a page you turned?

Each moment I wait, my heart still burned,

By love that doesn’t have a clue.

I still wonder, do you think of me?

Or am I just your past, lost in the sea?
