Knowledge does not begin with

clarity, understanding and results.

Instead.

In the interior of the mind.

The less active veins of the human body.

The innately minuscule shimmerings of curiosity

That buds and duplicates with increasing effervescence.

Knowledge is a duet between an uncurling sunflower at dawn

And the rising sun fostering its growth.

Knowledge Begins;

As awkward phone conversations

And your inability to concisely describe your ideas.

As laying awake at unusual hours wondering…

If anyone else has considered what you are currently considering.

As admiration of individuals who have expressed it publicly

And self doubt that you might not get there.

As hurried scratchings, scribbles and sketches

In your notebook, back of bank receipts and closest surfaces.

As re-writings and rephrasing.

As questioning the questions.

As igniting your original impulsion,

Knowledge Evolves;

As a slow-motion transformation

Of disconnected circles into

Explosive cosmic galaxies.

As bursts of energy for reaching comprehension

And incidental plummets of awe to realise,

Actually, it’s unobtainable.

You’re busy: Anyway.

Composing the next chapter, editing the sequel, rephrasing the conclusion.

On site for the 6am shoot, in a multi-continental conference call.

Onstage behind the Steinway, watching the curtains roll skyward.

To even notice, you epitomise fluent luminescence.

You are bursting, billowing,

Bubbling at the brim with knowledge!

The side effects, coincidently, are eloquence & confidence.
