From primordial ooze we arose,

Through eons of time, life did compose,

A wondrous tale of evolution,

Scholars say, our human constitution.

Our ancestors, so long ago,

Were simple creatures, don't you know?

But through adaptation and mutation,

We grew in strength and population.

With each passing year, a new advance,

Brains grew larger, feet learned to dance,

From hunter-gatherers to city dwellers,

Our story is one of great propellers.

We're a product of the natural world,

Through struggle and strife, our lives unfurled,

And though sometimes we still act primal,

Our minds have grown beyond the tribal.

So let us embrace our evolutionary past,

And try to make our future last,

For though our journey has been long,

There's still much we can learn and be strong.
