I do it because I want to
Because I love to see the smile on your face when you're happy
The peace in your eyes when you realize you don't have to worry when you're with me
The way your body relaxes beneath my touch
How soft your gaze turns when you look at me
I do it because you deserve to know what it's like to be truly loved and cared for
I do it because your family deserves to see you happy and to know there is someone to catch you when you fall
I know things are complicated and far from perfect
But I'll never leave you alone to face the darkness on your own
I see you; I hear you; I understand you
You deserve to feel what real peace and happiness feels like
