Everything

a poem

the weird moment

that lingers when you

stop holding hands

but the tips of your fingers

are still touching

that stolen quick

eye contact

when something is

so ridiculous

but you are the only

people who see it

the last inhale

sharp and audible

after a glorious kiss

the feel of your hand

firm but kind

gently massaging my neck

the sound of your

real laugh, high pitched

and jarring

your silky hairs

interlaced with my

pudgy fingers

the unspoken passing

of time disguised

as an evolution of

a relationship

these things

the little things

everything

heartbreak
