You bring me comfort
She says to me
Lying in her vanity
Profanity lingering
I start to ponder
What this means
Out there yonder
In the evergreens
Where the fox hides
From the city scenes
In his hole, no one bothers
In the lake swims the otter
Building his home
Amidst the water
And then I start wonder
What is home
To the flightless bird
The one born with feathers
Wings that can not fly
Made from design
Or as a sign of times
Where do they go
With a body that only walks,
an inherited free soul?
Where does a child go
Who is paralyzed
From the inside
Crying day and night
Wishing they could fly
Fly fly away
From every internal pain
Wounds to young
To stand and to bear
She disappears
Into her minds eye
Dreaming of a
Make believe life
Repression
Turning into depression
Dealing with the dreams
She would hope to self realize
She tried and tried
The hole deeper and darker
Where does she go
Where does she go
You bring me comfort
She says to me
Lying in her vanity
Profanity lingering
My face staring back at me
My eyes like evergreens
I escape from the city scenes.

This is quite beautiful. I am too tired to deeply analyze it at the moment. I need to read it a few more times. I recognize some of the lines though or at least they sound familiar reminiscent of a children’s story I think? Am I wrong?
