Eventuality

The Cycle

Eventuality

“Here, take this and go your way,”

Deep within me, a voice did say.

“Make the most of what I give you,

Whether prosperous or another venue.”

Things are different between us all,

Some become great, some remain small.

It’s the world in which we live in,

Plenty to offer, but little is given.

Thoughts and beliefs divide us all,

Some have dreams while others hear no call.

Barren lay their souls upon parched ground,

As others flourish, their wealth profound.

Yet, in the end, everyone is the same,

The grave, an equalizer, consumes the remains.

So, cast your lots upon the table of fate,

For what’s gathered, into eternity you can’t take.
