Evening

When Day Surrenders to Night's Gentle Call

The sun descends with golden grace,

Painting clouds in amber light,

While shadows lengthen their embrace

And usher in the peaceful night.

Birds return to nest on high,

Their songs now soft and sweet,

As purple hues fill up the sky

And make the day complete.

The evening breeze whispers low

Through leaves that dance and sway,

A gentle rhythm, soft and slow,

That marks the end of day.

Stars begin their ancient dance

Across the darkening dome,

While moonbeams cast their silver trance

On hearts that journey home.

In this sacred twilight hour

When earth and heaven meet,

We pause to feel the calming power

Of evening's gentle beat.

The world grows still, the air grows cool,

Night settles like a prayer,

Evening's magic, beautiful,

Floats gently everywhere.

I really love this, magical, sweet; an ode to nature's gifts.
