Even Stars Have to Fall

Song Lyrics I May Never Sing...

I wrote this quite some time ago when I was still learning the guitar. I think that the lyrics can stand on their own, but I need to seriously consider how to sing them (even included the keys I heard it in):

1.

Under a full moon,

Cold as any night I can remember,

Everything that should come

Into the room is there.

Like the walls staring down

(with the flickering light-bulb brightness)

Chorus:

And it’s hard being alone,

But why say so much?

Why complain?

Even stars can fall.

2.

Moon right above the blue-black night,

With its fake light (stolen from the sun –

White grey from yellow);

Like longing for one beside you

Loneliness like an ache beyond you

How and why? (2x or 3x)

It has to fall

It has to fall

It has to fall

It has to…

(Repeat chorus here, but replace first two lines with:

And it’s hard to know this

But why put it in mind?)

(Minor key: D or E#)
