Euphoric sadness and the human vampire

Sent to save the girl in the fire

By Daniel HooksPublished 2 years ago 1 min read
A white washed grey skull setting the tone

With all the sadness I have

I told humanity I was the human vampire

My teeth haven’t tasted holy communion in so long

I know I am powerful and strong

but this world betrays me and I don’t belong

I didn’t want to live on Jesus’s death

Like the other vampires

So I remained partly human.

I know this sadness is euphoria

I know my love for you is hysteria

But this deep need is for a love that burns through timelines

and personalities

I was sent to save her but in lifetimes I failed

first a warrior

then a sage

Then a prophet

last one a story teller

Sophia my Holy Spirit goddess

Trapped in bodies as a human

I want to take you home…
