Eternal Love

Once Upon A Time

Througout life you’ll meet that one person whom you had no idea was going to change everything, but they do.

After one day with them you’ll understand the meaning of what true connection is. It’s not money or things, it’s not status or title. It’s the never ending conversations or the ones you never want to end.

It’s their laugher. It’s the silly smile they have on their face when they really want to just burst open about their feelings but they just smile instead. It’s the moments, sitting beneath a tree, looking up at the stars and contemplating this life that we get to live and what a gift it is.

It’s the moments of walking, not saying a word because we didn’t have to. You can feel the love even in the silence. It’s sitting in a car for hours just listening to music in the background with thousands of laughs as well as tears.

It’s understanding their heart without it living on their sleeve. It’s the 3am- random road trips, it’s the smell of their favorite sweatshirt and the gas station treasures.

It’s the one person who you know you can’t ever begin to imagine life without and then without warning God has other plans for them.

In the blink of an eye they are taken from this earth. There is no reset in death but in death true love never dies. It lives on in your heart. The memories are priceless. What shaped you can’t ever be taken from you. Souls are eternal, it’s only the body that dies. True love is soul love. It’s the core of who we are. As the continues to live, so does the love.

The darkness may keep them shielded from sight, your path now, may seem off course but your soul knows the way.

Soulmates are made from the same substance, bonded. Shatterproof. The flame between hearts flickers eternally.

When the hands on a clock stop working externally it may be unsalvageable but internally it’s working perfectly.

Just as the body walked with the soul, it’s just now, a lot lighter. True love could never exist if it could be taken away so easily.

Love is something to cherish. Love doesn’t hurt. It walks with us through eternity thus to feel no pain.

To love is to give and to give is fulfillment and fulfillment is the greatest gift we could give to ourselves or to another.

Filling up oneself should always be done as we fill up others. I used to think that the hardest part of losing you was that there was no closure. No goodbye. Yet I quickly realized that when it’s real & true it only evolves. It only grows. Nothing can stop love, not even dying.

We were written in the stars. Before that fateful summer night as our paths finally crossed, I knew from that first hello that yours would always be my favorite.
