In moonlit realms where stars embrace the night,
A tapestry of dreams takes wistful flight.
In whispered sighs, the world begins to sway,
As inspiration blooms in night's ballet.
Each verse a step, a graceful pirouette,
In rhythm with the heart, no soul forgets.
The words, like silk, in graceful arcs they twirl,
A dance of dreams, where fantasies unfurl.
With ink and quill, the poet takes the lead,
In twilight's waltz, their yearning hearts concede.
The verses flow like rivers, pure and wide,
An endless dance where dreams and muses glide.
So let the verses swirl in graceful streams,
In this eternal dance of poet's dreams.
Inspiration's fire, a beacon burning bright,
Guiding us through the shadows of the night.

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
