Or lack thereof

As I walk these endless halls of truth

Doors full of lies

Temptation profoundly greater with each step

Groans and whimpers of self that die

Rounding wonders of stationary dreams

Discovering beauty in the little things

Before this journey comes to a halt

At the point which my body begins to collapse and my feet begin to ache

As I try to get this thing called life to fall in direction that satisfies me

But instead it alludes me

Troubled thoughts of disconnected, mislead understandings of worth

Falling into my inner essence

Leaving behind my crumbling foundation of pessimistic thoughts

As I realize the world continues to change around me and I no longer delude myself into thinking control is mine...

sad poetry

About the Creator

Tโ€™Monai

I enjoy the mystery of discovering new sides to an individual. Feeling capable and welcome to break out of your shell. And I believe writing is a method to encourage growth and the more novel more hidden sides of self.
