Green blades of glory

Reaching both towards the sky all from an untold story

Powered up underneath the stars and the moonlight

The light that touches the soul

It reaches beyond all space and time

The blaze of the sun scorching from light years away

Blinding sight in shades of red and gray

That level of beauty urges you to shy away

It reminds you with its brightness in presence of color

Just how small and minute we all are

How dignified and magnificent the earth is even when it’s still

There is divinity in this power house

Everyday it sings all around you

Red cardinals stop you in your track as if they were a stop, sign slowing down the racing mind

The gray and brown eagle pauses to challenge you to a standoff

Bold and vivacious looking down beyond life

The yellow purple and white tulips rise up to smile in the presence of God

They all play their roles and direct the paths to a fresh new day

The night has fallen, the ever green trees awaken and stretch forward
