Erosion

a heartache's process

I would cross this ocean filled to the brim with awful drearihood,

Plunge myself headfirst to pluck you from its memories multitude,

Deep in waters where it is pitch black and all form is lost,

Like the night,

Like the dreamless sleep.

I would drink this pool of tears to taste again the salt of your skin,

Drown myself in its brine to see a flicker of my hurt heart's ruin,

Smooth and rippling lean muscles of a sun-kissed sovereign,

Like a prince

Like a vulpine god.

I would lay my hands on your powerful thighs to swallow you whole,

Wave after wave, releasing secret sighs that have stolen my soul-

Until we are bones, disintegrated and one with sand,

Intermingled for eternity,

From shore to shore,

Like a wet kiss.

Hey there! this beautiful poem! It captures the depth of longing and desire. The imagery of diving into an ocean of memories and being surrounded by tears hits you in the feels. The idea of becoming one with the sand speaks to a deep connection that goes beyond the physical. It's both haunting and passionate, and it resonates with anyone who has felt deep love. The repetition of "like" gives it a musical quality that adds to the emotional impact. Great job!
