Epitome

A freestyle poem

Caressing his innocent face

From his forehead down to his little nose

Carefully moving her fingers to his fluffy cheeks

And a soft touch of her thumb to his thin lips

A sweet smile from a mother

Seeing her little newborn sleeping

And so, her tears fell to his cheeks

As she can see the exact image of him

his eyes,

and the expression on his face and smile

She pauses,

“You are the epitome of your father”

A vivid image of him,

the very details of her nightmare,

A shadow of a man towards her

In the darkness with fear and scream

the touch of her nakedness,

the sound of dragged chains

Helplessness…

from the crazy laugh of the maniac,

She clearly remembers

She went into a crazy laugh

Senselessly choking the maniac

So hard…

And Harder…

Then, she hears a crying little one

Tears fell to a lifeless epitome

Hugging him tightly,

Marked with a smiling facade
