What makes them feel they possess?
So much so that they can transgress,
Obsess and undress my dignity,
Feel entitled to my body so blissfully.
Hebephiliac Dave, who you can guarantee,
Is exposing more than young eyes should see,
Could have the Doctor…? Am I deceived?
Young minds’ recall can be so sealed,
Fellow kids at school thought it’s funny,
Not even safe in the place of study,
The old man at the shop,
It all needs to stop,
A boss with his authority,
Lack of consent is conformity,
Even at the festival to celebrate your pride,
Betrayed, she laughed, disgusted inside,
Groped by a gross guy at the club,
Everyone just wants you to bundle it up,
If you can believe, even my own “friends”,
Wish all these people from my body cleanse.
But worse of all, my partner at the time,
Hard to define all of their crimes,
They pillaged my body,
Made my underwear bloody,
Tied me up, made my sanity plateau,
Read my poem, I said fucking no.
Stories told, stories concealed,
Who knows if I’ll be believed,
All these people are disgusting and vile,
But, worst of all, it’s usually treated as mild.
