Enigmatic Energy
Mysterious Mastermind

You speak a love that's cryptic
And nobody understands
That although your words are septic
You're begging for another chance
*
Time after time, you proven
You are toxic, not benign
I need to get a grip
And leave this thing we had, behind
*
I was a hold on tight believer
Your ride or die, until the end
But you took the love out of us, lover
And put the end to being friends
*
So have a seat
Save your song and dance
Give that heart on your sleeve
To someone else
*
I've got no use for love that lies
No energy, won't waste my time
It's time, my guy, to realize
That this is me, saying goodbye

Such great rhyming lines! Well done, Kelli!
Wonderful, Kelli!
I know I'm toxic, but I didn't know we had a thing. (Just me channeling a bit of "While You Were Sleeping" which I did not watch over Christmas this year for the first time in a long time.)
Nice job, Kelli. I relate to all of it, but especially like this stanza: "Time after time, you proven You are toxic, not benign I need to get a grip And leave this thing we had, behind"
What a nice way to end a relationship it seems to me. Good job.
"I've got no use for love that lies". What a line!! Loved this!
