Enduring emptiness

A quiet place

By Raymond G. TaylorPublished about a year ago 1 min read

So subtle is your secret wealth,

In honesty, an inner truth.

Let fill an empty room with nought,

Enduring peacefulness be sought.

Never stimulate or stress,

Certain of your quietness.

Ever give us noiselessness.

Sublime! Gave me the feels - those two opening lines particularly! ☺️

The picture fits so well with what you’re saying here, and “Enduring peacefulness be sought” is such a nice line. This feels almost prayerful, like reaching out for peace and calm and quiet.

  • Oooo, I especially loved the way you made this rhyme! So well done!

An empty room as in the image can let a person visualize themselves in many different ways. Great work

Sometimes, this is exactly what's needed. Utter silence and a chance to be still. Lovely work :)
