Won't Someone Just Please Fill Me Up!

I'm sitting here on this shelf,

Disgusted and embarrassed with myself!

My owner says I'm pretty,

But I'm feeling kind of ugly.

I'm not meant to be empty,

I'm meant to be full of pretty flowers,

I was born to be showy;

Though my owner has disowned me.

I'll show that owner who I really am,

I'm meant to sparkle,

I wasn't made to gather dust,

Or rot and crack on this shelf.

I'm hungry,

And I'm empty;

I feed on stems and coloured petals,

I'm sure my owner wouldn't like to starve like this,

So here I am pleading;

Won't someone just please fill me up!?
