I wish I had a picture
Of the summer it started
The summer we parted,
I worked so hard to get that way
Without claiming to be the best
In anyway.
Your name and memory
Always stamped in the back of my head,
Witnessing what love the world still sees
In this place, (the planet earth)
Against the better judgment
Of my emotional state
With never knowing
What a new day will bring,
A lost child!
