keep searching

I think you’ll find

not what you expect

but an absence of light

search all you want

between

here and near

far and wide

climb every mountain

enjoy great heights

but you won’t ever find me

in your line of sight

I am a ghost

and I think in the form

of lyrics and nightmares

and I wait for the demons

to not follow me home

but when I arrive

at my destination

I am never

never alone

I know you think you know me

but the truth is

you only know what you see

we both know our eyes can play tricks

and my eyes were meant to deceive

but please

by all means

search deep

if you think

you can find my soul

but when you don’t find it

just know

a nuclear reaction

can produce gold

I think in the form

of lyrics and nightmares

I wait for the demons

to not to follow me home

when I arrive at my destination

I am never

never alone

I am a ghost
