Empty and Endless
Only God could be so clever…

Empty and Endless
As a poet and a monk
This life a tragic hunt
Awaiting heaven
The final drawing of velvet curtains
Dedicated to memory
Poetry and psalms
I recite in the graveyard
Preach to the demonic
Holly or psychotic
Genius and prophetic
Empty and endless
Broken by God
Given his sadness, the sadness of God
Asked for his power,
He thought it was odd
Received only loneliness
Held in an urn.
Gilded in Gold
still hollow and cold
I’ve earned it, I’ve earned it
a tomb to rest my soul.
No poet, or monk ever believed
They would be remembered
Only God could be so clever…
