Empathy, oh empathy,

A gift so rare and true,

To feel another's pain and joy,

As if it were your own too.

To walk a mile in another's shoes,

And truly understand,

The struggles and the hardships faced,

By those who need a hand.

To see beyond the surface,

And into the heart and soul,

To recognize the beauty,

That often goes untold.

Empathy, oh empathy,

So vital in this life,

A bridge to span the differences,

And overcome the strife.

Let us embrace this treasure,

And use it every day,

To make a world that's kinder,

In every little way.

For in the end it's empathy,

That keeps our hearts aglow,

A flame that burns within us,

And helps us to grow.
