Emotions

BANGING - at the door of my mind

Memories, some awful, some kind.

I used to think they made me what I am

Traumatized,

Broken,

not often softly spoken.

ANGER - seething beneath the surface

Memories, of scars that serve no purpose.

The rage longing to be set free and

Explode,

Detonate,

a life so often left to retrograde.

REGRET - eyes always glancing backwards.

Memories, causing my life to feel awkward.

Constant desire for a re-do so I can

Rewind,

Re try,

erase all the discomfort and redefine.

DESIRE - for a different perspective

Memories, newly creative and selective.

Trying to start anew is something I

someday hope to do.
