My euphoria
Elusive happy smile
Intoxicating
~Tears
Drops salty and clean
Purging the soul of sorrow
Cleansing the spirit
~Laughter
A merry sound, yes
A mask of sound it becomes
Can it really die
~Pain
Comes fast in the night
Suffocating me slowly
Inescapable
~Hope
Burning bright inside
The fire that lights action
Unwavering flame
~Grief
Barren and lifeless
Phoenix like arise from death
Tears water a bud
~Lust
A burst of passion
Sounds and colors meld and swirl
Coming up for air
~Frantic
Energy release
Frenetic shuffling dance
Accomplish nothing

CH 20~ Party Down
Argento’s ninth (eighteenth in earth years) Birthday came and went Thursday, the thirteenth, and he’d already received his father’s gift, if you could call it that. You had to commit a fairly serious infraction to be cut off; the Arch-Baron was keeping up appearances and maintaining his own reputation as much as any sense of love or attachment to Argento with his “gift.”
