I drank that night

So I wouldn’t have to feel

The sting

Of nothingness,

After -

I got drunk

With questions

Of absence

And misinterpreted

Texts -

Such great ways

Of being misunderstood.

Sure,

Come over,

Spend the night -

Yeah I know you feel

Emotionally unavailable.

Busy

Burdened

Overwhelmed,

Understandably -

Tragically, nonetheless.

I hold this healing bubble

willingly -

Use me.

I'm getting my touch needs

Met.

Share psychedelic hugs

Connect deep to

Wine soaked neurons

Before they dry out,

Leaving me dehydrated -

Like taking in water that wasn't

Wet.

Beyond your appreciating gaze,

Up on this pedestal,

Doing self-care

Self-partnering

Making love to myself,

Sober -

Wanting you,

Feeling you,

Loving you -

But,

Caring less and less

What you think of me,

Or how often -

Until I see your name

On my phone,

Again.

Hey,

Thinking of you.
