Embrace the Light Within

a tribute to the poem “Lifeless Life”

A river of memories, calm and still,

Drifts along, like a paper boat at will.

The child within you still glows bright,

Fear and tears rest on your pillow at night.

The tree you once watered with care,

Its leaves now sing sun-songs in the air.

Curtains sway in new morning light,

Forgetting shadows, forgetting the night.

The sky still calls you by your name,

The stars whisper, “The key’s still yours to claim.”

Life will guide you step by step,

Stars keep you alive, no matter how much you hurt.

With colorful wings, a brand-new flight,

Where even black and white gain life and light.

Time flies when joy is near,

But in sorrow, it sits quiet, clear.

Still, the sunbeam's lap is graced, Even silence finds a healing nap.

Don't shrink, don't blame the past, Turn toward the light and let the darkness fall away. Wish for a dawn that’s purely your own,

where the child can stay and be known and loved. Take a breath from this suffocating world,

After every death, new life is unfurled.

That old place still bears your name,

Not just a location—but the heart’s own flame.

This world was made just for you,

Pain will pass—joy will come through.

Life carries truth, and yes, sometimes lies,

Yet gardens bloom, and peace falls from the skies.

You are God’s finest creation, most divine,

Love belongs to you—endless, boundless, and thine.

In your story, you’re the heroine true,

You will not break, nor fade from view—

Your belief will glow in golden hue.

Author’s Note:

“Lifeless Life” is an outpouring of deep emotion — I wished to become a flicker of light in the midst of that darkness. Remember, the sun always rises, every single time. There is a new beginning at every end. “Today can be the first day of your life—if you choose.”

Therefore, we remain positive. Even though we appear to be wasting away on the outside, on the inside, we are being renewed day by day.
