Electric Sunset

A Poem

By C. J. PharezPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

As sunset falls on city skyline

the moon rises to light the night sky

Illuminating this strange place

Where nature and man's machine do meet

Power lines and street lights, tall as trees

Obscure the mountain side

Meanwhile bird and plane side by side fly by

As man attempts to imitate

The starry night sky

That floats along

This sea of green and gray,

Whose wild calls are both ignored and loved each day

Yet now quietly rise above the buzz and hum of an electric sunset

About the Creator

C. J. Pharez

I love music, books, and poems. Poems are to express, stories to create, essays to expound, music to feel. This is a place for my writing to be shared, poem, essay, and short story alike. May you enjoy what this awkward writer has to share.
