The why is always what’s left.
Sometimes it comes out of nowhere.
But usually there are signs.
Even though subtle, they were there like little bread crumbs. Leaving a trail like that Hansel and Gretel followed to their fate.
Usually we are too distracted to notice until it’s too late.
Some people will simply say, “what’s done is done.”
I refuse to continue to accept that one.
These days it seems like the decisions being made are reactivating battles that progress has long since solved.
With uncertainties and ugliness crawling all around.
It’s easy to slip into the “why?” The question on many a persons lips, seems to abound.
I am once again reminded of a mantra that was once like a security blanket.
“All you can control in life is your own actions and reactions.”
Instead of asking why it happened. Ask why we continue to let it.
Like the knight guarding the holy grail, life’s too short not to, “choose wisely.”
It’s ok to be foolish at times and to act impulsively, life’s best stories come from spontaneous moments.
But when left with the “why,” if the answer doesn’t leave you smiling….
Edit your mind set.
