I am love with Ed Sheeran's song "I See Fire"(2003)which is based on The Lord of The Rings trilogy. Specifically, it was made for for the soundtrack of the 2013 film The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. With no surprise, it was only played during the closing credits... movies do that a lot. However, as much as I love the song... I realized that I can't really use it on context with pretty much any other situation than... well... The Hobbit. So, I felt the overwhelming need to make other versions of it. That way I can sing another version of it in front of feminists, and I really wanted a version that I can use as song that symbols togetherness... in any situation! If you like either of these versions, please feel more than welcome to sing your own cover of them... or even change them up a bit more! I would be honoured if my creativity is continued... even if only as inspiration.
I See Fire - Female Version

(This one has only minor changes)
Oh, misty eye of the mountain below
Keep careful watch of my sisters' souls
And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke
Keep watching over Rosie's Girls
(Instruments start to play)
If this is to end in fire
Then we should all burn together
Watch the flames climb high, into the night
Calling out for the rope, sent by and we will
Watch the flames burn on and on the mountain side (high)
And if we should die tonight
Then we should all die together
Raise a glass of wine for the last time
Calling out for the rope
Prepare as we will
Watch the flames burn on and on the mountain side
Desolation comes upon the sky
Now I see fire, inside the mountain
I see fire, burning the trees
And I see fire, hollowing souls
And I see fire, blood in the breeze
And I hope that you'll remember me
Oh, should my people fall
Then surely I'll do the same
Confined in mountain halls
We got too close to the flame
Calling out Mother hold fast and we will
Watch the flames burn on and on the mountain side
Desolation comes upon the sky
Now I see fire, inside the mountain
I see fire, burning the trees
And I see fire, hollowing souls
And I see fire, blood in the breeze
And I hope that you'll remember me
And if the night is burning
I will cover my eyes
For if the dark returns then
My sisters will die
And as the sky is falling down
It crashed into this lonely town
And with that shadow upon the ground
I hear my people screaming out
Now I see fire, inside the mountain
I see fire, burning the trees
And I see fire, hollowing souls
And I see fire, blood in the breeze
I see fire, oh you know I saw a city burning (fire)
And I see fire, feel the heat upon my skin (fire)
And I see fire (fire)
And I see fire (burn on and on and mountains side)
I See Fire - Modern Remake/ Grief Inspired

(This version has dramatic changes—meant to be be played at a funeral or memorial)
Oh, misty eye of those who sustain
Keep our love and our hearts safe
And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke
Keep watching over those we love.
(Instruments start to play)
If this is to end in fire
Then we should all burn together
Watch the flames climb high, into the night
Calling out to cope, sent by and we will
Watch the flames burn on and over our pride (high)
And if one dies tonight
Then we have all lost together
Raise a glass of wine, for the last time
Calling out to cope
Prepare as we will
Watch the flames burn on as our home burns down
Desolation comes upon the sky
Now I see fire, that I can't contain
I see fire, taking over me
And I see fire, without coals beneath
As I see fire, my heart is seized
And I hope that you'll remember me
If my people should fall
Then surely I'll do the same
In memory, what God recalls
We've got too close to the flame
Calling out Father hold fast and we will
Watch the flames burn on and on over our pride
Desolation comes upon the sky
Now I see fire, that I can't contain
I see fire, taking over me
And I see fire, without coals beneath
As I see fire, my heart is seized
And I hope that you'll remember me
And if the night is burning
I will cover my eyes
For if the dark returns then
My loved ones will die
And as the sky's falling down
It crashed into this lonely town
And with that shadow upon the ground
I hear my people screaming out
I see fire, that I can't contain
I see fire, taking over me
And I see fire, without coals beneath
As I see fire, my heart is seized
I see fire, oh you know I saw it all burning (fire)
And I see fire, feel the heat upon my skin (fire)
And I see fire (fire)
And I see fire burning over all our lives ...
In case you wanted to give either of these lyrics a try.
Fun Fact:
The Hobbit was the first book that Sheeran ever read as a child. "I'm still geeking out that I've done a song for a Peter Jackson film set in Middle Earth!" he said.

Hello. Nice to meet you! How are you? Hmm... this feels like a really one-sided conversation... why don't you follow me on social media so I can get to know you too?
