In shadows cast by the dying light,
Lies a tale of sorrow, bleak and trite.
A heart once vibrant, now torn apart,
By the cruel hands of fate's cruel art.
Whispers of love turned to bitter lies,
As teardrops fall from melancholy skies.
Memories haunt the depths of my soul,
Like shards of glass, they take their toll.
Lost in the abyss of shattered dreams,
A symphony of pain, or so it seems.
Loneliness echoes in every breath,
A solemn dance with impending death.
Oh, the weight of sadness, heavy and vast,
In this realm of darkness, the die is cast.
A somber melody, my heart's only plea,
A sad poetry etched in eternity.
