Echoes to selen
Secrets Floating on the Breath of Night”

Oh, silent guardian of the night,
I send this whisper across the endless sky.
From the crowded streets below,
Where voices rise and fade like restless tides,
I look up and find you waiting—
Pale, serene, eternal.
Do you hear the stories I carry?
The laughter buried beneath the weight of days,
The tears that the world will never see,
The dreams that flicker like candle flames
In the shadowed corners of my heart?
If you listen, will you answer in silver light,
Or simply drift, indifferent, across the cosmos?
Tonight, I write to you
Not as a poet, not as a dreamer,
But as a soul seeking refuge.
For in your glow, there is calm—
A quiet promise that even in darkness,
There is beauty,
There is patience,
There is eternity.
I wonder if you remember all the lovers
Who once traced your crescent with trembling fingers,
Who whispered names into the void
Hoping you would carry them across time.
Do you hold their secrets,
Tucked behind the shadows of craters
Where silence reigns, untouched and unbroken?
I send this message, fragile and trembling,
Like a paper boat on a silver stream.
May it sail the void,
May it touch your cold, gentle face,
May you cradle my words in your orbit,
And, if the stars align,
Reflect a little of your light back to me,
So I know that even across the vast, lonely night,
Somewhere, somehow, I am heard.
Oh, lunar sentinel,
Keep watching,
Keep glowing,
Keep reminding us that even in distance,
We are never truly alone.
