The air is thick with unsaid words,
A symphony of restless herds.
I wonder, God, why peace delays,
Through shadowed nights and sunlit days.
We crave the calm, not endless war,
A world where love unlocks each door.
I wield no weapon, cast no stone,
My spirit seeks a peaceful throne.
Let children play in fields of green,
Untouched by what the world has been.
Let mothers gaze with hopeful eyes,
Beneath clear, unpolluted skies.
Let fathers toil for joyful gain,
And wash away all bitter pain.
I ask you, Lord, for tender touch,
To heal the hearts that hurt so much.
To walk in freedom, side by side,
With empathy as our constant guide.
Remove the darkness, make it cease,
You are the fount of endless peace.
It's you, my Lord, the sovereign power,
Who guides us in our darkest hour.
Instill forgiveness, pure and deep,
While wounded memories gently sleep.
Dismantle hatred, strong and vast,
Lest precious moments fade too fast.
Help us, Lord, our constant guide,
Let love and kindness be our tide.
Break evil's hold, its cruel design,
This earnest longing, truly thine.
You Almighty God, beyond compare,
Answer this humble, silent prayer.
