Echoes of the Neon Jungle

In the heart of the neon jungle,

Where the lights dance like a raging fire,

I lost my heart to a love so beautiful,

That even the stars in the sky would admire.

She had eyes like the moon,

And a smile that could light up the night,

In her arms, I found peace and love,

And everything else seemed out of sight.

The city's heartbeat echoed in the streets,

As we walked hand in hand,

Our love growing stronger, every beat,

In this jungle, we took our stand.

But the neon jungle can be cruel,

Its streets unforgiving and unkind,

And my love became lost in the fray,

Leaving me with a broken heart and mind.

I searched high and low, far and wide,

For my love, lost in the jungle's tide,

I heard her echoes, in the city's stride,

And followed them, like a lover's guide.

The echoes led me to a place so dark,

Where the neon lights flickered like a spark,

My love's voice echoed like a lark,

But her face, was nowhere to embark.

The jungle was full of lost souls,

Its dangers unknown to most,

And I was just another lost boy,

Desperately seeking my love's ghost.

Years passed, but I never gave up,

My love, still echoing in the neon's strut,

I searched for her, in every nook and cranny,

My love, my heart, my one and only Annie.

And then, on a night so strange and surreal,

I heard her echoes, like a love's appeal,

My heart raced, and my soul began to heal,

As I followed the echoes, that seemed so real.

They led me to a place, so far away,

Where the neon jungle shone like a ray,

And there, in the midst of it all,

Stood my love, her beauty still so tall.

But the jungle had changed her, in ways untold,

Her eyes no longer shone like gold,

Her smile, a mask, of what was once bold,

And my heart, broken, it felt so cold.

We embraced, like lovers do,

And I felt her heart, beating so true,

But the jungle had left its mark,

And our love, was no longer a walk in the park.

The echoes of the neon jungle,

Haunt me to this day,

A reminder of a love so beautiful,

That was lost in the jungle's fray.

But I hold onto the echoes,

For they bring me closer to my love,

And I hope that one day,

We'll dance again, under the neon above
