In the annals of time, the past wars lie,
Their legacy etched in tears and sighs,
Through battlefields soaked in crimson red,
They brought forth grief and sorrow widespread.
Once, hopeful hearts beat strong and free,
Dreams woven with love, like tapestry,
But then the drums of war began to sound,
And joyous laughter turned to cries profound.
Brothers turned foes, embracing hate's embrace,
As blood-stained hands held swords in malice,
Families torn apart by merciless strife,
Their lives shattered, forever changed, for life.
On battlefields where heroes fought and fell,
Echoes of anguish, like a mournful knell,
Aching souls left behind, bereft and scarred,
As memories of loved ones remain charred.
In the ruins of cities, once thriving and grand,
Now lay broken dreams on desolate land,
A haunting reminder of what once thrived,
Now reduced to ashes, no joy revived.
The tears of mothers, like rivers, they flow,
For sons and daughters, they'll never know,
And widows weep for love's embrace,
Now lost forever, without a trace.
Through the ravages of war's cruel dance,
Grief shadows nations in a mournful trance,
A legacy of pain and sorrow's embrace,
On haunted hearts, the past wars leave their trace.
Oh, let us remember the lessons learned,
From the pages of history, wisdom earned,
That peace, not war, should be our decree,
To break this cycle of misery.
For wars, they bring a sadness deep,
A sorrow that remains, a memory to keep,
In unity, let's strive to mend,
The wounds of the past, so hearts can mend.
With empathy and love, let's sow the seed,
Of hope and peace, where all hearts are freed,
May the past wars fade, like twilight's end,
And in its place, a brighter future ascend.
Let us stand hand in hand, united as one,
Healing the wounds, that wars have done,
For in unity, there's strength to break,
The chains of sorrow, for peace's sake.
The past wars may haunt us, their sadness bring,
But let's rise above, let our spirits sing,
A song of hope, for a world set free,
From the scars of war, let peace decree.
