Echoes of Approval

Overpraise Syndrome

By anu chandrashekarPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Echoes of Approval

A world of likes, a fleeting fame,

A constant quest for a praiseful name.

A digital stage, where hearts ignite,

A hunger for validation, day and night.

The siren song of approval's chime,

A fragile ego, lost in time.

The fear of judgment, a heavy load,

A prisoner of praise, a twisted road.

The need to please, a relentless drive,

A hollow victory, a life deprived.

The mask of perfection, a fragile guise,

A shattered self, a sacrifice.

Let's break the chains, the endless chase,

Embrace authenticity, find inner grace.

True worth resides, not in the crowd's acclaim,

But in the quiet strength, a soulful aim.

Wow, this really hits home! The line "True worth resides, not in the crowd's acclaim," is so powerful!
