Echoes Of A Forgotten World

From Freedom in Nature to Silence behind Walls

Once, we roamed in fields of green,

Chasing light beneath the trees,

Laughter echoed, skies were clean,

We lived as one with nature's breeze.

From dawn until the stars arose,

We gathered ‘round the fire’s glow,

Grill smoke rising, tales did flow,

The world felt vast, its beauty shown.

Through forest paths, in shadows deep,

We wandered where the night did creep,

With pots and pans in hand to keep,

The fire's warmth, our dreams to sleep.

But now, we sit behind the glass,

Walls of steel and skies of brass,

The world outside, a distant past,

Trapped within, our spirits fast.

Fingers swipe, but hearts are still,

The city's hum, a hollow thrill,

A silent cry, a void to fill,

Depression's weight against our will.

Oh, how I long for days gone by,

Where nature kissed the endless sky,

To laugh, to live, to breathe, to fly,

Not bound by walls, but free to try.
