Earthquake in the Land of Dreams

When the ground shakes

By Rohitha LankaPublished 9 months ago 1 min read

Earthquake…in the Land of Dreams

No one expected that the solid land would shake in an instant.

Earthquakes do not just shake the ground, but they also shake the hearts, changing the lives of many people forever.

Although Myanmar and Thailand are not countries on a major fault line, we cannot avoid disasters that may come unexpectedly.

High-rise buildings, old buildings, or houses in the countryside all have the chance to become ruins in a few seconds.

Amidst the dust and the cries, what cannot be seen but can be felt are ''shattered dreams.''

The dreams of families who want a safe home.

The dreams of children waiting for their parents to return home.

The dreams of workers who hope to create a better future.

Natural disasters destroy buildings and also test people's spirits.

But in the ruins…there is still ''spirit''.

From rescue workers who risk their lives.

From the people who lend a hand to help.

From the lost who rise up to fight again.

Even though the ground shakes…

But the ''hope'' and ''dreams'' of humans will still stand.
