Earth Day

The only day we remember

Earth Day

The skies are blue like the sparkle of the ocean

The earth is green as a leaf in the spring time

The thoughtless acts of man

One day make it so untrue

The disrespect for the colors makes it all fade to grey

Happy earth day

We all come together to celebrate the earth

But forget about our challenges the very next day

We think we are smart and cleaver

But even our efforts don’t put a dent in a feather

We watch the animals die as they struggle through our mess

We were supposed to be care takers

But look at what we’ve become
