Each time

a poem

If I took a lap,

once a leap ago,

and saw nostalgia

once again in their eyes

.

-each time in L.A.

the ‘sixty-seven,

again ninety-two,

twenty twenty-five.

.

It repeats a loop.

How the eyes of hope

light their face, inspired

WITH THEIR FUCKING RACISM !

.

and each time we have -

need to - beat it back

to reset conscience,

empathise and love.

I really felt the mix of nostalgia, anger, and determination here.
