Dying

~

Lurking underneath a burning fever

I feel life passing

Clouded

Dreams are confusing

That gentle touch

Cool hands brush my face

Where am I going?

~

Blood is pooling

Pulling at my soul

Fire burns within my body

Death riding on my soul.

~

I can see the eyes

Of that condemned woman

I can see pain shrouded by questions

I can see hate, love, and passion

Locked behind those ‘damned eyes.’

~

Feverish I search for death

I call it by name

And in response only hear whispers

Of an evil locked within this body

~

Burning

I feel ice and fire

Temper and Pain

~

Sinking into the depths of cold

I find death

I feel its kiss against my lips

I hear the faint beating of my heart

And the gentle touch of cool hands holding me.
