Driving Home

Seeing red

Water sluices off semis,

great sheets of it

slamming down on my windshield,

blinding me. The other drivers

are all idiots, maybe even as stupid

as you. They’re all in the wrong lanes.

Like you. My blood begins to boil

and I take the next exit,

down Riverside Drive. It’s like

driving through a waterfall.

Nothing angers me

like being invisible.

About the Creator

Harper Lewis

I'm a weirdo nerd who’s extremely subversive. I like rocks, incense, and all kinds of witchy stuff. Intrusive rhyme bothers me.

I’m known as Dena Brown to the revenuers and pollsters.
